you can also create virtual machines with it, just like with vmware..
yes, you gotta install windows on it, but it shouldn't be that hard..

Hmm... VMWare lags a lot for me, but should I try VirtualBox? Could its performance be better?

Yeah, but you can also use a image file (ex. iso).

  8. zoro

    zoro Donor

    yes, or a .iso

yes, that's why I stopped using vmware :-D

I've to ask few questions now. :F2:
    Virtual OS?
    Computer specs?
How many MS's you can run at once w/o lag?
Any bugs/crashes when running MS on Virtual Box?
    How much RAM/Virtual OS?

    virtual os: XP
    computer specs??
like 2 vm's + maplestory without lag (didn't test more yet.. just got 2 vm's installed)
it crashes sometimes (if your cpu usage is too high I suppose)
    320mb ram, 64mb graphic

do you guys recommend using this on a laptop? xD

  12. zoro

depends on how good your laptop is.

    Alright, sounds nice. :F3:
Computers specs = your processor, ram, graphics card and all that shit.

2,33 ghz quadcore, 4gb ram & 512mb graphics card and all that shit. :-D

    Here's mine:
    AMD Athlon II X2 240 @ 2,80 GHz
    6Gb DDR2 RAM
    ATI Radeon HD 4650 1Gb
    And all that shit

I think it's my processor which can't handle this. :F10:

You can run multiple MS but can't promise you that there'd be no lag.

for using vmware with good preformance and best cheat friendly you should have it like this

    - windows 7
    - vmware 7.x? (newest)

1GB ram for each virtual OS
2 cores should be used for each OS

change mode from good looking to preformance
    disable windows backup
    disable all security

your computer should be able to run 3 (1 on main and 2 on vmware or none on main and 3 on vmware), you could run more if you have more ram
-edit you have a laptop, you may not be able to run 3MS at them time because of your cooling system

ps it will lag less than XP and less trouble (if you dont know what your doing)

I've done all this and read your VMWare tutorial at TE. You can check my specs above. Shouldn't I be able to run even one MS on VM without lag? If I'm at map with no monsters or other players the fps is like 20-30, but when there's monsters/players the fps goes as low as 3-7. Atm I'm installing an OS on VirtualBox just to check out if it would lag less for me.

The manual on TE uses windows XP and usesbmware v6.0.5 which is the main reason why it lags
